Alerje is an organization based out of Detroit, Michigan that addresses the issues regarding nutrition safety associated with food allergies.
Javier Evelyn knew there was a demand for a solution regarding food safety and started Alerje in 2015. Evelyn is an entrepreneur who suffers life threatening food allergies, and so, he felt the need for this app personally. To solve the challenge of food allergy information, he gathered a team of individuals with diverse occupational backgrounds to help create a MedTech app.

Alerje Recent Highlights
Allerje has accumulated more than ten sponsors and investors for the app since the firm’s inception. In recent news, the company received a $50k grant from Google to further the advancement of nutritional safety. The company has received total funding of $760k since 2015.
This year, the firm was awarded 3rd place at the Rocket Mortgage Detroit Demo Day, a pitch competition that invests in startup companies. The team’s hard work and innovation in the nutrition industry was recognized due to their patient design to lessen the cost of care.
