EarthBend is a privately held information technology company that specializes in distribution telephony peripherals and IT solutions. The company was founded in 1993, and operates three distinct businesses—Clear2there, EarthBend Distribution and EarthBend360—all from its corporate headquarters in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Clear2there is a market-leading provider of smart home and smart business solutions, including access control, video surveillance and IoT. EarthBend Distribution supplies channel partners with a wide variety of technology solutions with a “one-stop purchase” methodology. While EarthBend360 provides an industry leading portfolio of cloud-based, pay-as-you-go unified communications and contact center solutions.
Notably, in late 2019, EarthBend announced their plan to strategically scale its EarthBend360 cloud communications services business. In order to support EarthBend360’s rapid growth, the company established initiatives, which included the enhancement of its unified communications as a service (UCaas) and contact center as a service(CCaaS) cloud computing platforms and the addition of skilled team resources across key operational areas, including sales, business development and engineering.
“With the explosive growth in this market and the vast experience our organization has providing business technology solutions via both direct and indirect channels, now is the right time for us to increase our focus on EarthBend360 to maximize our potential and success,” said Rob Beyer, President and CEO, EarthBend. “The momentum we are seeing in the UCaaS and CCaaS space is tremendous. It’s not a question of if businesses will transition to the cloud to deploy these technologies, but when.”
Rob Beyer, current President and CEO of EarthBend, graduated from South Dakota State University in 1986 with a BSEE, and received his MBA from University of Saint Thomas – School of Business. Before EarthBend, Beyer co-founded Tonka-Tek – a provider of engineering support and consulting to IT infrastructure services – which was eventually acquired by EarthBend in 2014.
