Local Startup, Event Vesta, Launches Mobile App to Make Finding Events with Friends Easy

Ralston, NE June 17, 21 – Local tech startup, Event Vesta, recently launched its mobile app for finding fun events and activities going on in Omaha, and making plans to attend them with friends. This comes just in time for the summer event spree and newly reduced social restrictions as a result of higher vaccination rates, and represents Event Vesta’s first major announcement since their recent funding round earlier this year.

“We’ve envisioned building this app since the first day we started Event Vesta and we couldn’t be more excited about launching it now as everything reopens from COVID here in Omaha” said Andrew. “With many marquee events returning like the Olympic Swim Trials, the College World Series, Maha Music Festival, and the Omaha Farmers Market, along with many new events being added to the app each week by local businesses and performers, it really feels like the timing is perfect to launch an app that helps people find and plan fun things to do.”

The Event Vesta team considers the app to be a better way for locals and travelers alike  to figure out “what to do” in Omaha, ranging from large well-known events, to smaller every-day options, while making it easy to make plans to get out and attend them with friends. They hope that their app will not only help bring people together as COVID continues to recede, but that it will also help the small businesses that were impacted by the pandemic.

One local business owner, Rachel Van Buskirk, is excited about this new app for just that reason. “Our marketing team already loves working with Event Vesta, and we’re excited to have our events reaching new attendees through their mobile app, especially now that we’re back to full capacity and our event schedule is fuller than ever!”

“This was the goal we started with,” says Billy Martin, co-founder of Event Vesta, “To build a platform that made it fun to find things to do with friends, but that also empowered local businesses, nonprofits, and venues by getting their events the attendance they deserved. As we come out on the other side of COVID, it’s great seeing so many events back and showing up in the mobile app, and we hope it will showcase how fun and vibrant of a community Omaha is.”

The Event Vesta app is available today for anyone to download in the Apple App Store or Google Play Android Store.
