Post-Covid Predictions in the Business World with Scott Henderson

The past year has set the stage with unease and uncertainty for 2021 due to the global pandemic. Businesses, careers, and project growth came to a tremendous hold in the spring of 2020.  However, on the bright side, many companies discovered ways to overcome the challenges of necessary social distancing by instating technology resources to keep connected.

Yet, questions still remain: When will coworking spaces open up? What will startup communities look like when the pandemic is over?

Scott Henderson, managing director of NMotion and local Lincoln Nebraska ecosystem builder, in an interview, mentioned a few of his predictions of how business will change for years to come.

“I think moving forward there is going to be a hybrid of what are the advantages of digital and what are the advantages of real life” Henderson posits, as he reflects on beneficial investments NMotion has made with founding teams without ever having been in the same room.

“We’re having to learn how to build trust and discern via a video 2d screen in ways that we would have done in person,” he said.

Henderson, in June 2020, filmed Project Tumbleweed: Life in America During a Pandemic.   For this project, he covered 14 states to interview individuals on how covid-19 was affecting their lives. He was able to collect the perspectives of people who recounted their struggles as well as their achievements during this time.

Henderson reflected, “All these miles and conversations have helped us uncover lessons from the past and the present for how you and I can remain resilient in this time of uncertainty.”
