MIT REAP Program Assignment: Omaha and Lincoln Entrepreneurship Survey

Over the past few months the MIT REAP core team has developed two surveys to gather feedback from two stakeholder groups in our ecosystem: Entrepreneurs and Risk Capital providers. Scott, what the hell are you talking about? I am talking about the MIT REAP Program that I so eloquently described in my previous article A MIT RE(C)AP. None of you read it the first time and I am 100% ok with that. However, if you would like to learn about being an ecosystem builder, then I recommend giving it a glance. At the end of the article there is a call to action. The two surveys below are the action. We are asking for your feedback and help in filling them out. The links to each survey are provided below. Thank you in advance. Also, please forward this to at least one additional entrepreneur.

PS. If anyone needs any additional motivation to fill this out, then I will buy you a large coffee from one of the many tremendous local coffee shops in Nebraska. Just let me know which one you prefer.

Entrepreneur Survey

Who should fill out this survey? Anyone and everyone that has started a business or has thought about it. Why? Because you are a member of a collective ecosystem and you have a role to play.  Chances are you are an entrepreneur or have at least thought about starting a business, a side hustle, or something similar. Maybe you work for a startup with the hope of learning the ropes before starting your own gig. Maybe you tried and failed.  Maybe you didn’t start because it was too hard or you didn’t want to take the risk. Maybe you left the state because in order to grow you needed more people, a bigger market, or better healthcare. We need a diverse number of perspectives and that includes your voice.

Entrepreneur Survey

Risk Capital Survey

Who should fill out this survey? Anyone who has funded an early stage venture, idea, company, or individual entrepreneur. Maybe you funded your own idea by getting a bank loan. Does that make you an investor? Yes it does because you invested in yourself and your own idea. Maybe you funded a family member’s innovative idea. Maybe you are looking to invest but don’t know how? We want to hear from you about your experience.
