The Startup Race

Remember that story where the tortoise outruns the hare because the hare sprints off and burns itself out and the tortoise sets a steady pace and wins the race?  Seriously, in the story of the tortoise and the hare, how can the hare not be the #hustle?

As more and more people experience burnout from their “hustle” lifestyle they are beginning to realize that that pace isn’t sustainable for them. However, it is undeniable that a startup does require some type of “other” commitment than a day job does.

Even if you choose to reject the toxicities of startup culture there will still need to be a level of persistence that is unshakable. Determination and persistence in the face of the ups and downs of building something that wasn’t is undeniable.
