LINCOLN, NE.— NMotion, powered by gener8tor, today announced $3.7 million in new investments that will start and grow 24 Nebraska startups over the next two years, expand the startup accelerator’s programming to serve startups statewide, and create an Omaha location at Millwork Commons. NMotion will provide investment, support, mentorship and access to in-state and out-of-state capital to early-stage small businesses and startups throughout Nebraska.
Startups and small businesses that successfully compete for a place in the accelerator programs will each receive $100,000 investments from NMotion through gener8tor’s venture fund and Invest Nebraska. In addition, NMotion will hold free, in-person and virtual programming and office hours throughout the year for any interested startups and small businesses throughout the state.
“This is an exciting day in Nebraska as we announce a major expansion of NMotion to grow startups statewide,” said Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts. “Nebraska currently has the highest employment in state history, and we saw record venture capital investment in 2021. By serving startups, NMotion will help generate even more great-paying jobs to help retain our graduates and recruit new talent to our state. Thank you to the many investors whose generosity is allowing NMotion to accelerate the growth of young companies in Nebraska.”
